Mihai Nesu himself launched the kick off of his foundation. The staff and FC Utrecht players were all present and the media interest was huge. The Dutch as well as the Romanian press were present.
Mihai Nesu was very pleased with the large turnout. “I have experienced so much support and thought I can do something with that. My wife, friends and I thought we have to try to let something good come out of this tragic accident, not only for myself but also for other people”, Mihai said. He showed gratitude for all the signs of support he received from the supporters during the last six months. “That was really great. I did not expect that a player from abroad could receive that much support. I want to thank everybody for this support and I hope that the supporters will keep on supporting me so I can keep the smile on my face."

FC Utrecht has the intention to go further with this duo, but gives them more time to show the team’s development and efforts in the second half of the competition. General manager Wilco van Schaik, technical director Foeke Booy and shareholder Frans van Seumeren spoke extensively with Wouters and Alflen in Portugal last week.
