Jacob Mulenga suffers another serious knee injury
9 November 2011

Jacob Mulenga tore the cruciate ligament in his left knee in the match against Ajax on Sunday. The Zambian striker had just recovered from a similar injury in his right knee.

A scan on Monday showed that the ligament was very probably seriously damaged but could not give 100% certainty. An operation on Wednesday found that the ligament in his left knee had torn loose. "The knee was cleaned up on Wednesday to prepare for a full operation in three or four weeks," said club doctor Frank van Hellemondt. "The recovery process has already started but it will take at least six to nine months."
